Ketoram is a dietary supplement that contains BCAAs with a special ratio of 4.1.1, ornithine alpha-ketoglutarate and vitamin B6.
BCAAS are abundant in skeletal muscle (35% of the total) and are one of the most important factors in regulating muscle protein metabolism.
Their availability facilitates protein synthesis. Leucine in particular is very active in this regard, as it induces the activity of the intracellular receptor mTOR C1.
For this reason, Ketoram contains a different ratio of BCAAs, leucine, isoleucine and valine (4.1.1) compared to the ratio of 2.1.1 in Friram.
This formulation seems to be better suited to speed up post-workout recovery and, most importantly, promote muscle growth.
BCAAs are also an excellent supplement to facilitate muscle recovery after trauma or surgery and during rehabilitation.
Since they are not metabolized directly in the liver but in the muscles, they can be taken without precautions in a recommended average dose of 1 g per 10 kg of body weight.
Ornithine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (OKG) increases the availability of AKG, an essential intermediate of amino acid metabolism that is very useful in facilitating both anabolic and catabolic function as well as the excretion of excess nitrogen.
The amino acid ornithine is involved in the urea cycle, which is responsible for the excretion of nitrogen waste.
