Iron Edge is a salt-based energy supplement designed for athletes who practice cross-country skiing.
Its formula was developed in collaboration with Trisport & Health, a team of triathletes committed to the Iron Man and led by Prof. Camporese.

It is characterized by a mixture of consecutive and complementary carbohydrates, capable of providing constant energy within a few minutes of ingestion.

It is characterized by excellent gastrointestinal tolerance and assimilation during sports activities.

The dosage of the mineral salts sodium, potassium and magnesium and the balance of the chloride anion contained in the product refer to the relative concentration in liters of sweat during sports activity in the summer season.

Iron Edge dissolved in water in the correct dosage produces an isotonic solution that can easily pass through the intestinal barrier and enter the bloodstream.

Interestingly, the presence of aromatic substances in Iron Edge is reduced. The excessive presence of aromatic substances during intense physical activity can act on the nervous system and disrupt the normal balance of cellular metabolism.
The mixture of simple and complex carbohydrates is precisely balanced to maximize the assimilation potential and to ensure a constant and functional energy supply to the active muscles in the rhythm of endurance performance.

Recent studies seem to confirm that gut training helps elite athletes absorb up to 90-120 g of carbohydrates per hour and that this carbohydrate dose is associated with optimal performance.
