Emafol is a composition of ingredients that ensures adequate supplementation of iron and specific vitamins with anti-anemia effects.

It contains two innovative ingredients:

• Sunactive®, a microencapsulated iron(III) pyrophosphate dispersed in a stable emulsion with high bioavailability, clinically tested and without the typical iron odor and taste. It is well tolerated by the stomach;
• Lactoferrin, a whey protein capable of transporting iron from the intestine to the blood and from there to the reserve tissues, thus promoting its absorption. Normally, the assimilation of iron through the mouth is limited, while lactoferrin ensures greater iron absorption. It also has an antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and prebiotic action at the level of the intestinal barrier;

The presence of vitamin C and bioflavonoids from rose hips further improves iron absorption.

Vitamin B12 and folic acid are important vitamins against anemia; they facilitate the synthesis of hemoglobin (oxygen carrier) and must be supplied daily with food.

A deficiency in them leads to anemia, which mainly affects women.

SUNACTIVE® microencapsulated iron pyrophosphate (iron pyrophosphate, stabilizer: sunflower lecithin, sodium chloride, maltodextrin), iron gluconate, vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), lactoferrin (from milk), anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids and silicon dioxide; copper gluconate, filler: cellulose; calcium L-methylfolate (5-MTHF), vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin). Coating agent (capsule): hydroxypropylmethylcellulose.
